You may wish to draw attention to the fact that your event has a minimal carbon footprint and has been designed in a responsbile manner. This can certainly bring good PR and impress your employees. A sustainable and responsibly-run venue
We endeavour to source a venue that meets all your needs whilst having solid environmental policies in place.

Our three Country House Hotels in the English Lake District constantly update and improve their environment policies. Impact Development Training Ltd is registered to ISO 14001:2004. We are working with other areas of Impact Group to improve their policies, with the ultimate aim of Group certification to ISO 14001:2004.

Catering with a conscience
Wherever possible we work with the venues we are using to ensure that food and drink is sourced locally, is from a sustainable source and is organic.  If it is not possible to source items locally we endeavour to use Fair Trade produce.

Transport
To ensure events are as environmentally-aware as possible we encourage clients to consider where delegates are coming from and to choose a location which minimises the requirement for travel.  If this is not possible we encourage carbon off-setting and make suggestions for "giving something back" to the local community, to off-set the impact your event has on the chosen location

Preparation and Event Communication
There are a number of ways in which we can effectively reduce the waste generated in the preparation and delivery of events. We focus on the 3 R’s – Reduce, Reuse  and Recycle.

Raising Awareness
Whether your conference has a key focus on Sustainability or you just want to highlight the fact that you're doing your bit, Eclipse can help.  We can ensure delegates are made aware, from the start of the event, of the sustainability measures taken in the set up and delivery and offer them opportunities to suggest how they can help on an individual level.

Team Activities with a difference
Want to do something completely different?  Want to preserve the environment and put something back into the community? Want to do an activity with a sustainability theme?  We have number of options available from getting your delegates to tackle a conservation project designed in partnership with a local Conservation Group, to completing a "Scrapheap Challenge" with a difference.
