Hearing the 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, GO! at the start of a cycle time trial. Getting totally engrossed in a solo winter climb. Descending a mountain pass at over 80kph (50 mph) on my road bike.

Ideal day in the outdoors?
Full winter conditions on a winter climb. Blue skies, minus 10C and no wind, followed by sitting on the summit soaking in the sun and views after an absorbing climb
