Felling a big tree next to a greenhouse, having to miss the rolls royce parked in the drive, with the owner watching. Paddling lakeland whitewater in high water. Driving in London. Forgetting the wife's birthday. Pushing my limits whilst winter climbing. Trying to keep up with Stu Britt and Dave Milligan whilst out mountain biking. Any form of assessment.

Favourite place?
Off the western isles of Scotland in a sea kayak on a summers evening.

Ideal day in the outdoors?
A frozen waterfall with a short approach and a long back country ski out in fresh powder, followed by hot Nachos and cold beer.
